It probably would look like a matching dart. You still might hate it, but it won't foreclose your other options (unless you had considered an asymmetry in the bow--one side tacked up and the other hanging down, which might actually look cool). The Slapdash Sewisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11668474749166329852noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8600319387472537110.post-66040292034350438252010-11-15T14:20:35.177-05:002010-11-15T14:20:35.177-05:00I would try to find more fabric. I'd try pinning them narrower and a bit shorter but still long enough to cover the boo boo.

You said you have enough to recut witha short sleeve. You could cut the longer sleeve length off the bad bodice and intentionally put a seam there to make it long sleeved. Obviously you'd have to do it to the other side. A 1/4" serger seam won't take that much length off.

Last option is to look for more fabric.debbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04879013275518538838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8600319387472537110.post-80197314787401241552010-11-14T19:28:07.476-05:002010-11-14T19:28:07.476-05:00I'd take option 4 and wear it with pride.I'd take option 4 and wear it with pride.Faye Lewishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02781186043996633965noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8600319387472537110.post-68179828534814246812010-11-14T13:15:49.161-05:002010-11-14T13:15:49.161-05:00First let me say I loved the "Mondo" t-s...First let me say I loved the "Mondo" t-shirt. Turned out great and awesome job on matching the stripes. If you have time and you really want the sleeves long, I would try to find the same fabric and purchase enough to recut the sleeves. I kind of think you need the long sleeves to balance out the bow. If they don't have more fabric, I would probably match with a seam on the opposite side. Good luck with your decision. The blouse looks like it feels wonderful and is a super color.MushyWearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11298153126878457192noreply@blogger.com
