It's the perfect example of a self-made garment that needs to go into a magic closet for a couple of weeks. If it still bugs you after you've not looked at it a while then try to fix it, but I suspect it will be perfect once it emerges. Frankly, I don't think there's anything to fix. The quilting is frickin' beautiful. I can't believe I wasn't on team "quilted teal" right from the beginning.
