As for sewing fantasies, every day I'm convinced that I can sew up a cute top in the morning before work. This has yet to happen obviously. I agree with Dharma. Taking a break from it will probably help you resolve the issues.

Since the quilted panels are probably thicker and heavier than the side panels, probably the weight of them is contributing to the problem at that corner. It seems like they might be pulling the side panels. Maybe you can open most of the side seam, let it relax and tell you where the seam should be. Also, your idea of extending the waistline seam sounds like a good one!Tomasahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12001675806748209852noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8600319387472537110.post-80691455105376355632014-09-22T19:48:28.019-04:002014-09-22T19:48:28.019-04:00I think teal/blue color looks great on you! It was good of you to release yourself from getting it done in time for ASE. Pivot/ square seams are nearly impossible to get right. Have you tried seaming the front top to the front bottom first, and then treating it as one panel when joining the side panels? This might help avoid the square corners. Still have the easing of the princess seam, but that's always been a little easier for me.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
